No, your eyes are not deceiving you. You are seeing an outfit post here on the blog! It’s been a while since my last one, a little over two months to be exact. Keeping it casual for my “comeback outfit post” and wearing my favorite pair of sunglasses, which may or may not be covering up some major dark circles. Nothing like the upcoming 4th of July holiday to stir up some outfit inspiration, eh?
I am proud to say I am green with envy no more – at least when it comes to the weather! 😉 Spring is here (at least it seems to be here in the southwest) and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.
Hello Gorgeous! I love this shirt. How could I not be attracted to a shirt that practically “spoke” to me? What’s better? It was on clearance. So funky, sparkly and pink! Right up my alley ya’ll. What else do I say? Well, it was a bit windy this particular day!
I’m a bit “in between” in this post. What do I mean? Well, friends, I’m a bit in between manicures. The first thing that I see when I look at these pictures are my naked nails! I know, I know, kind of trivial thing to be worried about, but I just can’t help it. Unlike here and here, my nails are totally bare here! If you’re a gal who changes her polish several times a week religiously, “naked nails” aren’t a very cute look in her mind.
It was a great weekend friends! My Mom flew in from my hometown of Atlanta to visit me! I took her all around downtown Tulsa and showed her all the city had to offer. This particular day I took her to the Philbrook Museum for a little “art and culture”. A true believer in sequins for any occasion (evidenced here and here ), I thought my Mom coming to visit was the perfect excuse to wear a little sparkle! Although I was afraid I maybe come off at first looking like a candy striper, I’m still loving this new tee!
Leather is an attitude. Let’s be honest here. When you see a man or woman walking down the street decked out in a great leather jacket, pants or boots, don’t you think to yourself “What a bad-ass!” Ok, maybe not quite that, but it does give off a certain air of confidence that you can’t help but notice. Is it just me?
I very well might be in the beginning stages of going crazy here thinking leather has an actual “attitude”, but what can I say? I really am loving this leather trend we have going on right now!
Glamo. Yep, I think that’s the word I’ll make up to describe this look. That and risky business. Mixing tweed with camo?! What? What was I thinking?! Well, I was thinking that I want to really test this print mixing thing. It could have turned out disastrous, but I think it didn’t turn out too bad.
Boom! Booooooom! Bam! OK, let me stop while I’m ahead here or I’m going to start sounding like Bam Bam! Yes friends, it’s the 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target Boom! sweatshirt. I know it’s still maybe a bit too warm out to comfortably wear said sweatshirt (despite Sunday being the first day of fall), but just couldn’t help myself. I LOVE this sweatshirt! It’s just so funky, “in your face” and fun.
Yes….I’m in your face!
outfit details: top – target (similar), jeans – old navy, shoes – charlotte russe, clutch – dolce vita, watch – target (old), bracelets – Ida Red (local Tulsa boutique) / Threadsense , ring – forever 21 *super cute option here), lips – Nyxx in “beige”
Animal print, zebra print more exactly, will never go out of style in my opinion. As much as I LOVE leopard print, zebra print was my first love. In the height of the black and white trend going on right now, I thought this was a fun little twist on the trend.
Which do you like better – leopard print or zebra print?

Camo people. I’m wearing camo. When this trend first emerged last fall, I didn’t quite know what to think. Honestly, for me, wearing camo was only something hunters or army personnel wore. Wearing camo in everyday life?! But, I continued to see it more and more, and once I saw the many different ways it could be styled, it grew on me. So, like certain other trends, when I finally decided to “jump on board” (hey, better late than never, right?) and saw this cute embellished and sparkly camo top at Forever21, I went for it!
I decided if I’m going to wear camo, I’m going to wear it right and wear it my way – styled with a great pair of boyfriend jeans cute peep toe pumps, a funky bag and bracelets, a little rose gold and a bright red lip. So, here ya go folks…definitely not your average camo. Dare I say…..”Glam-0“??? Ok, maybe not, but hey, it’s definitely “glammed up” camo! 😉
I must know – what do you think of this trend? Would you rock it?
