No, your eyes are not deceiving you. You are seeing an outfit post here on the blog! It’s been a while since my last one, a little over two months to be exact. Keeping it casual for my “comeback outfit post” and wearing my favorite pair of sunglasses, which may or may not be covering up some major dark circles. Nothing like the upcoming 4th of Julyholiday to stir up some outfit inspiration, eh?
Ah February….the month of love. All about finding your “Valentine” ….or so I’ve heard. Yes, that’s right people I have no valentine for Valentine’s Day this year. Before you start pitying me though, fear not – I’m ok with it. While I’m not quite sure what I’ll be doing with my obvious single status on the day of love, I do know what I’d wear if I have plans. Let’s call it a mix of classic feminine with a funky edge. And of course, ya know…. a little pink never hurt anyone.
Even if it’s not chronologically “official” yet, there is no denying that winter is HERE! I’m truly loving the ice blue hue right now, however, as cold as it was this day, my fingers and other extremities ended up turning almost that color before this shoot was over! Brrrrrrrrr!
Glamo. Yep, I think that’s the word I’ll make up to describe this look. That and risky business. Mixing tweed with camo?! What? What was I thinking?! Well, I was thinking that I want to really test this print mixing thing. It could have turned out disastrous, but I think it didn’t turn out too bad.
Black and white. Black or white. Black and white. Keep saying it over and over again and what does it make you think of? A certain song maybe? Well, famous songs aside, lately it’s seemed to be a “black and white jungle” on the fashion scene lately. Have you noticed? Of course you have. But hey, are you surprised? What’s more classic, easy to wear and style than black and white?

Decided to change things up a bit with this outfit post! Presenting me in “live action“! Haha! Just yet another example of me going to my “happy place” fashion-wise in some more great bright color. Coral is a very coveted color so far this spring season in both fashion and makeup. Fine with me! Coral is a color I’ve always loved and will definitely continue to love throughout this spring and coming summer season!
Outfit Details: blazer jacket – target (similar) , top – white house black market , jeans – old navy , heels – nine west , ring – the limited , earrings – express
Gonna keep it short and sweet today. I had mixed emotions when it came to this outfit. I couldn’t decide between polka dots or leopard print being the main focal point. So, I decided to go with both. I have to say – I’m quite happy with the results.
You know this wouldn’t be complete without a little video accompaniment, right? 😉
What do you think? Would you mix polka dots and leopard print?
Outfit Details: top – express (old) (loving this and this too), skinny jeans – asos curve (similar), heels – Nine West , bag – express , bracelets – forever21
Fun. Fashion should always be fun, don’t you think? This very reason is why I am so in love with all of the quirky and fun prints and graphic tees, sweaters and sweatshirts that have been popping up like crazy so far this season (more on that HERE)! Think about this for a moment. If you walk out the door wearing a t-shirt that says “Holy Chic” or a slouchy sweater with a huge cat face in glasses on it, how can you have a bad day? 😉
Furthermore, I love how these fun casual pieces are being paired with more formal pieces like pencil skirts, blazers and slacks. However, sometimes on a Sunday you just want to go the causal route, like you see I did above. When I laid my eyes on this tee in the store and saw that it said “Glam Up” in sequins no less, I knew it was meant for me! I mean come on, my blog is named Glam Slam! Duh! Of course I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t jazz things up a bit, so I added my favorite (yes, my favorite, as you can see here and here) pair of leopard print heels. Fun fashion!
How do you like to jazz up a casual outfit?
UNTIL NEXT TIME!!!
