PopSugar October Must Have Box!

There are so many different monthly beauty boxes to choose from out there ya’ll – so many. I’ve tried a few or so myself.  After a bit of trial and error, so far I’ve discovered that one of my favorites has been the PopSugar Must Have Box. Each box is fully of curated items that collectively bring together a specific theme; each month is different. This is not the first Must Have Box I’ve tried, but,  when I heard Reinvention. Warm + Cozy. Snuggly. Inspiration. Happy was the theme for the October Must Have Box, I mean….come on! How could I not be interested – it basically describes fall!

In October We Wear Pink // Shopstyle x CFDA

Pink may not be your favorite color, but, I’m sure you are aware of the significance of the color during the month of October. I’m sure you’re already critically aware of the importance of raising awareness and raising money to help in the fight against the most invasive cancer a woman can experience. I’m sure you know a lot of things about Breast Cancer Awareness Month and why the cause is so important.

Happy 4th of July // Happy Birthday America!

Happy 4th of July! Can I get a HELL YEAH for the wonderful long holiday weekend we’ve been enjoying?! Yes! I may be a little more excited about this long weekend this year than I should be, but, ya’ll…it’s been quite the week…the month actually! Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy being busy, but sometimes, a little rest and relaxation that comes with an extended weekend is just perfect.

Equal Love Heart - for post

This is not a regular blog post. This blog post  has nothing to do with me. You will not see any affiliate links. I will not be talking about the latest trend, my latest home decor obsession, my current favorite beauty products or a round-up my latest Instagram happenings. I will not be linking to any past posts in this post to get you to read another post. There never has been a post like this on this blog.

34 and Fabulous!

Birthday confetti - new post

So, I could start this post just like a lot of other people might, saying how much I’ve changed as I’ve gotten older, how I’m not where I thought I’d be at this age and how I still have dreams I want achieve, all of which is true, but that’s not what this “birthday post” is going to be about this year. Instead, I’m going to talk about what I am thankful for and happy to have in my life after having been on this earth for 34 years so far.

50 Random Facts About Me

50 Things About Me

You never should take life too seriously if you can help it. Since I said things were going to change around here and get more “real“, I thought I’d share a little more about myself! Serious, funny, embarrassing and more…it’s me ya’ll!

Where To Go From Here

David Bowie - for post

“As you get older the questions come down to about two or three. How long? What do I do with the time I’ve got left?”

The glam rock god and musical genius and lyricist he was, David Bowie actually was quite wise at times. The above quote makes me think about my life so far, and especially, this past year. A great blogger pal of mine, the fabulous Sarah Conley of StyleIT, and also a fellow Gemini, mentioned in a recent blog post that she recently read somewhere that Geminis will spend the year looking back and moving thoughtfully forward.

12 days into 2016 and it seems as if my horoscope is on point (I personally don’t really know how much I believe in the whole astrology thing), as I’ve spent a very good portion of 2016 so far looking back on 2015. I am not going to be one of those people and say “new year. new me!” But, what I will say is that I definitely am a different person after this past year. It was quite the year… personally, professionally and blog-wise; full of the good and the bad.

33 Years Young

So, this past Memorial Day weekend, May 26th to be exact, I celebrated my 33rd year on this earth. My past few birthdays I haven’t really celebrated all that much. This is strange for me, as I’m “one of those people” who loves celebrating birthdays and going all out. I’ve been through a lot in my life these past few years, but thankfully, this year I have a lot to be thankful for and I decided to celebrate!

The Strength of My Mother

My mother. One day, Mother’s Day, to honor her just doesn’t seem to be enough. What words can I type here that will be eloquent enough and fitting enough to honor her? I see my mother in everything – my strength to get through the toughest of times in life, every time I laugh, every time I look in the mirror and so many other times and things. She is my best friend.
