Unless you’re not on Instagram (Gaaaaasp!) or have been living under a rock lately, then you’ve seen posts and TONS of Instagram pics lately regarding “Inspired with Intel” and carrying the hastag #ultrabookstyle . Some of our favorite bloggers have recently teamed up with Intel and Glam Media on a project detailing what styles inspire their fashion and personal style. Well, I myself am unfortunately not participating in this project, however, this did get me thinking that this is actually a great conversation topic among fashion bloggers and I started to really think about what styles inspire my style.
Like you’ve seen in some of your favorite bloggers’ Instagram and blogs – HERE is a great one for my girl Megan of The Frugalista Diaries – I’ve listed below a few things that inspire my cameleon-like, funky, fashion-freak and girlie style :
Just a little something that I came across today on Facebook that made me smile! This just goes to prove in my book that you are beautiful no matter what size you are and is part of what I try to promote through my blog. No matter what size you are, who you are, where you live or how much money you have – NONE OF THAT MATTERS! You can be beautiful, glamourus and fashionable no matter what.
(From left to right): Sundress – Top Shop, Heels – Loriblu (also love these), Top – Juicy Couture, Denim Shorts – J Brand, Sanadals – Jimmy Choo, Maxi Dress – Alice + Olivia , Blouse – H &M, Bermuda Shorts – Old Navy, Shoes – Fendi (more affordable and just a fabulous pair here)
I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t believe that it is almost July 4th! Another year is yet flying by at lightning speed! Well, my friends Independence day is almost here and you know what that means! Time to shop all the sales! Well, yes, but also you need to know what to wear to that party!
Never where the same outfit twice. This is the oh so infamous fashion commandment we all are probably all to familiar with and so desperately try to adhere to no matter what; even at the expense of our wallet. I have to be honest here. I wish that this “rule” is something I could adhere to. I would love nothing more than to always be on trend with the latest fashions and be able to shop whenever I want and as much as I want and not have to worry about the consequences. But – I live in the real world and live on a “real girl budget”.
Just a little something pretty I came across today that I just had to share! Threadsense is an amazing company that offers chic, trendy and eclectic fashion and accessories that I am beyond obsessed with! As a self-proclaimed “budgetnista” who also still wants to be a fabulous fashionista, finding the latest trends and finds at a good price is key for me. I have been able to keep with my budgenista status, while at the same time “saving face” and keeping up with the fashionistas, via Threadsense. As you have seen here before on the blog, one of my favorite pieces of theirs is my awesome serpent ring (seen here and here) !
So, when I came across their Summer 2012 Lookbook (via Keiko Lynn ‘s blog – thanks for sharing girl!) I was stoked! The beautiful colors, flowy materials, fun vibrant prints – I felt myself being drawn into a sort of “psychedelic summer fashion utopia” ! Beware Threadsense, I’m about to start blowing up your website!
Summer, oh summer! It’s almost time loves! Now of course, while some things that summer brings, like scorching hot temps, frizzy hair and humidity you can cut with a knife, it also brings fun times with friends and family, beach vacations and fun trends to play with! Well, presented above are a few things I personally think you can’t live without this summer. Fantastic, feminine and flirty florals, bright colored skirts and skinny jeans, sexy strappy sandals, fabulous sunnies and neon charged nail polish!
What does fashion mean to you? This is something that has been running through my mind lately. I recently started a new job. I am now part of the leadership team at The Limited in my city! Yay! I am so happy to be part of this company and to represent the brand. I love them and have shopped there for years and years. I LOVE the new artistic and creative direction that brand has taken lately. Check out some awesome looks from the new collection, here.
In a company training video detailing the brand’s Spring 2012 Campaign that I watched today, Elliot Staples, Sr. Vice President of Design at The Limited, posed the very question, “What does fashion mean to you?” This really got me thinking.
Come with me Inside Generation Style. Who says bloggers can’t be models? NOBODY! Thanks to IFB, some of your favorite bloggers rock the season’s “must have accessory” the new new Intel UltraBook while sporting some of your favorite fashions from KamaliKulture and Orla Kiely, seriously awesome shoes brought to you by Just Fabulous, jewelry by Bauble Bar and sexy hairdos courtesy of ARROJO Studio.
This is a proud day for the fashion blogging industry and makes me honored and proud to be a blogger. We are proving we are a “force to be reckoned” with and that we can do anything.
Here’s to the bloggers!
Now – check out some of fashion’s best bloggers strut their stuff and werk it on the runway.
Bright pink, sunny yellow, poppies and more. No, I’m not describing a bouquet of fresh flowers, but something SO, SO much better! Dream fashion companies DKNY and the new “it place” for the chicest jewelry in the fashion scene Bauble Bar, have come together for a spring jewelry collection that the fashion world, bloggers and yours truly have been buzzing about.
How quickly it passed us by. In a flurry of stilettos, camera flashes and models, another New York Fashion Week has come and gone- so quickly (maybe faster than a “New York Minute”), that it’s almost hard to believe that it’s already been a week!
