Just a little something funny to start off your Saturday!
I have always been a huge fan of Bobbi Brown. Not only is she a creative makeup genius (I like her and her products just a little….just a bit 😉 ), but also a very inspiring woman. When I found this video circling around online, I was quite intrigued! New York fashion internet start-up company The Cools partnered up with Bobbi Brown in promotion of her #PrettyPowerful campaign for her new book “Pretty Powerful“. Inspired by personal stories of women who’ve overcome what seemed to many like insurmountable odds, in the book Bobbi shares more of her wisdom with makeup techniques on how to create great looks that inspire confidence and can make us women feel mighty, mighty powerful!
Pay attention ladies – here you will see a few very popular faces from the fashion world (HELLO The Manrepeller and Victoria’s Secret Model Jessica Hart !) “learning” how to skate board from pro Eli Reed. It is quite a hoot!
“Over the years I’ve worked with countless women who have inspired me with their stories. Beyond makeup, we’ve talked about life-altering events. Everything from the joy of being a new mom to dealing with homelessness and divorce. With each conversation, these women have shown that when you have the will and the heart, almost anything is possible—and that’s what Pretty Powerful is all about.” – Bobbi Brown
UNTIL NEXT TIME!!!
TWITTER, FACEBOOK, BLOG LOVIN’ , CURRENTLY OBSESSED and now – YOU TUBE !
It’s that time again. Thanksgiving is over. We survived Black Friday. What’s left before Christmas? HELLLLO! Cyber Monday! Even though I spent my Black Friday online shopping, I still plan on taking full advantage of Cyber Monday deals and steals. With that being said, I thought I’d share some of the deals and information I’ve found so far!
Yes, it’s me, coming back at you on video! Can you tell I’m having way too much fun on You Tube? Anyway, this video is another fun little “tag” I found on You Tube, the “15 Fashion Questions Tag“. I mean seriously – what could be more perfect for a fashion blogger?
Fall is in full swing now and the beginning of the holiday season almost upon us! Can you believe that we just got through Halloween already that Thanksgiving and then Christmas and next?! It is truly crazy! For your viewing pleasure above is a video I did for the “I Heart Fall Tag” that has been circulating around You Tube lately. I probably am the last person on You Tube to do this tag, but nonetheless, I went ahead with it anyway!
Do not adjust your computer screen. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Presenting my very first You Tube video! This by far is not the best quality video you’ll ever see, so bear with me. I wanted to “introduce myself” to you all via video! For quite sometime now I ‘ve wanted to do videos for my blog. It’s just a more personal way to connect with your readers and express yourself to your readers in a different way. I’ve long been inspired by You Tube pros like Profresh Style, Pretty Shiny Sparkly, Tanya Burr and many others for their amazing videos, so I thought it was long past due for me!
This actually is more of an “intro” video to the blog, why I started it, etc. So, if you are already a reader, then this may be a bit repetitive. Nonetheless, this is the first of many more videos to come! I can promise that the more videos I do the better I will get! Haha! Hope you enjoy! If you like this and look forward to future videos to come then feel free TO SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL HERE– IT’S FREE! 😉
In other news – is that not the best freeze frame of my face ever?! Awesome.
As we are all aware, this month is breast cancer awareness month. Pink is the IT color (and I’m totally fine with that 😉 )! Contrary to popular belief of some, the fashion world is and has been making HUGE strides in the support of breast cancer research and spreading awareness. Designers create exclusive limited addition pieces, brands launch awareness campaigns and more. It is truly touching to me that an industry that many criticize as being so superficial can do so much for such an important cause and truly shows it’s “heart”!
Thank you so much to my good friend Meagan of The Frugalista Diaries for featuring me in this blogger collaboration! This collaboration is part of Megan’s “5 WTW” (Five Ways to Wear It) series. By now, you along with everyone else in the world, definitely has major Olympic fever! You can’t turn on a TV, radio or even log into any social media outlet, without hearing about the Olympics. Oh….by the way…..DID YOU CATCH THE “FAB FIVE” WIN GOLD LAST NIGHT?!?! It was sooooo exciting!
With all of this Olympic stuff going on now (sorry about ANOTHER Olympic-inspired post ), I was a bit inspired. Gold is definitely a color I myself have recently become more accustomed to . I always used to only wear silver jewelry and never gold. I don’t know why. Well, I have seen the “golden light” from the fashion gods, and now realize it’s awesomeness and how well it accessorizes with an outfit, can pulls things together and make you look effortlessly polished and chic.
Have you been feeling “golden” lately? What do you like more: silver or gold jewelry?
