Ah February….the month of love. All about finding your “Valentine” ….or so I’ve heard. Yes, that’s right people I have no valentine for Valentine’s Day this year. Before you start pitying me though, fear not – I’m ok with it. While I’m not quite sure what I’ll be doing with my obvious single status on the day of love, I do know what I’d wear if I have plans. Let’s call it a mix of classic feminine with a funky edge. And of course, ya know…. a little pink never hurt anyone.
With these bitterly cold winter temperatures as of late, I can’t help but start dreaming of spring and summer. This of course got me thinking of spring and summer fashion. So, I have to say, the above dress caught my eye whilst browsing ModCloth recently! One thing I’m determined to do this year is step out of my “fashion comfort zone” so to speak and wear more dresses.
Hello Gorgeous! I love this shirt. How could I not be attracted to a shirt that practically “spoke” to me? What’s better? It was on clearance. So funky, sparkly and pink! Right up my alley ya’ll. What else do I say? Well, it was a bit windy this particular day!
Now is the time of year where many bloggers are putting together posts with a collection of they’re favorite outfit posts of the year – the trendiest, most fabulous, edgiest, glamorous, etc. Well friends, I decided to do things a bit differently. Inspired by corals + cognacs recent outfit outtakes post, I present:
My favorite outtakes….bloopers….of 2013!
You know that rule, “No white after Labor Day?” Yea, me neither. Can you think of an easier color to rock than white? Timeless. Chic. Works for everybody. Like I said (and the rest of the fashion world for….like….the past decade), no more is the pesky “no white after labor day” rule. White is rockin’ for winter ya’ll! Whether it’s full on white-on-white head to toe, an all white manicure, white booties or a great white jacket or blazer, there are pieces that will work for everyone and allow anyone to rock this trend.
I’m a bit “in between” in this post. What do I mean? Well, friends, I’m a bit in between manicures. The first thing that I see when I look at these pictures are my naked nails! I know, I know, kind of trivial thing to be worried about, but I just can’t help it. Unlike here and here, my nails are totally bare here! If you’re a gal who changes her polish several times a week religiously, “naked nails” aren’t a very cute look in her mind.
Still recovering from Black Friday ya’ll? If you participated, whether in store or online, in still is quite a feat. Yes, I know you still may be suffering from “shopping overload”, but if you have any energy left to go out and about and do a little shopping or even to just grab a cup of coffee or lunch, #ShopSmall . It’s Small Business Saturday ! We all love (myself included) shopping at big name brands sometimes to get the latest and greatest, but take today to really give back to your community and small business owners! Whether is be a great clothing boutique in your town or going a grabbing lunch at one of your favorite local cafe’s, small business owners are the ones who truly make the community. Cravings. They can be quite pesky and annoying sometimes and not always good to indulge in. However, there is nothing pesky or annoying about the cravings I’ve been having lately for a select few fall fashion items. Feel free to indulge ladies!
I’ve had many “cravings” over the past few seasons, however, lately it’s been all about graphic tees, leather and lace, a great pair of booties, a whimsical sweater sweater that begs the question – #whatdoesthefoxsay (haha!) , a “fall fedora” and more. The above are a few great key basics that I’ve had my eye on lately. Start with the basics and build from there; a philosophy that has so far suited me quite well so far fashion-wise!
What are a few keys pieces you’ve been eying lately?
