So, I could start this post just like a lot of other people might, saying how much I’ve changed as I’ve gotten older, how I’m not where I thought I’d be at this age and how I still have dreams I want achieve, all of which is true, but that’s not what this “birthday post” is going to be about this year. Instead, I’m going to talk about what I am thankful for and happy to have in my life after having been on this earth for 34 years so far.

I am so thankful for and so blessed to have wonderful and amazing friends and family in my life. I had a wonderful childhood and was raised by two wonderful parents. I had a safe, healthy and loving home life. So many people today did not and didn’t come from the comfort of loving families.

I have a very extroverted personality and love being social and making new friends. I am so thankful for the kind and supportive friends I have. My little circle truly “gets me” and makes me a truly happy person. I couldn’t imagine not having the friends and family that I do and I am truly thankful for them. Also…in case you weren’t aware (well, if you follow me on any type of social media you would be – duh!), I am a “crazy cat lady” and am truly thankful for my sweet and beautiful little girls.

I also recently moved into a new apartment a few days ago. I am truly thankful to have a roof over my head, a good job and food to eat. I know we’re truly getting down to the basics here people, but it’s true. Many of things we take for granted everyday, some people in the world (those you maybe were not even aware) wish they had and struggle to make it by each and everyday. This may be forefront on my mind as I just finished watching Red Nose Day, a world-wide annual fundraiser that’s held every year on May 26th that raises awareness and money to fight child hood poverty. Better yet – it falls on my birthday every year!

Ok, I promise this is not a sponsored post, but it’s something that made me happy and truly appreciate how lucky I am to have what I do in life. By no means is my life perfect on my 34th year of life, and there are still many, many things I still want to do and achieve, but as my birthday day comes to end, I truly reflect on the good things in life to do have.

What are you thankful for?

xo,  Stephanie
