Just a little something I’ve been trying to tell myself more and more lately. Confession time – when I get really stressed out sometimes I start to get really flustered or as some would say, “wig out” a bit, which in turn completely ruins my mood and puts me in a bad mood. I keep asking myself – “Why do you do this to yourself? Let it go girl – it’ll be OK!”
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been really hard on myself. If I didn’t accomplish perfectly what I set out to do or couldn’t figure something out quickly, I started beating myself up about it and started feeling really down on myself. I’d start to compare myself to others and try to figure out why I couldn’t do something as well or wasn’t as good as everyone else seemed to be. It’s a continual daily struggle, but slowly but surely I’m starting to make progress on overcoming this particular personal flaw.
