Plaid. Is it just me or do you remember the days when it seemed that only lumberjacks, Scotsman or grunge rockers wore it? It of course was perfectly acceptable for Gavin Rossdale or any other front man from a popular rock band in the 90′s to wear it – it was cool; part of their “persona” and style. But as a chic fashion accessory and print?  I ‘m going to be perfectly honest, until recently this season, I was NOT a fan of plaid. I just couldn’t see myself wearing it and did not see it as an attractive print. I mean of course, I thought it looked beautiful as a table runner on my mother’s Christmas table spread, but on me? Really?

I don’t know what is or exactly why, but I am seriously warming up to plaid. If styled creatively, plaid can be FABULOUS! After finding inspiration HEREHERE and HERE , I am now an official “plaid convert.”  I’ m currently on the hunt for a great plaid jacket (I wanted the Gap “Academy” jacket soooo bad, but it is currently sold out online and I can’t find it ANYWHERE at any of the local Gap stores in my city), so if you know of any great places to shop, let me know!

Do you like plaid? How would you style it?
