mixology – …..the art and craft of mixing. Well, my friends, pattern mixing seems to have become an “art form” and craft in the fashion world lately; am I wrong?! I have to admit; I was a little nervous to try out this trend for myself. I am one of those people who isn’t always able to successfully pull off each trend that pops up. So, when it came to this challenge I decided that in order to do this successfully in my first attempt, that I had to follow these rules:

1. Make sure to have clean contrast

2. Use two different prints in the same color family (this is more of a “beginner” rule – once you feel more comfortable, you can move into more dangerous territory with contrasting colors)

3. Pull the two contrasting prints together with a pop of color

What do you think? I had a lot of fun in my first attempt in “mixology”! I definitely think this is a trend I will rock in the fall!
