Remember when you were a kid and running through the sprinklers during the summer? It was simple fun, but oh so satisfying, especially during the sweltering heat. Well, a park downtown in my city has a “version” of this so to speak and I have to say – it took every ounce of will power I had not to run through the water myself, as this particular day, it was 105 degrees! This downtown “water attraction” also kind of reminded me of Centennial Olympic park in downtown Atlanta (my hometown), where there is a whole section of the park full of little “water spouts” and if you’re a kid, it is THE PLACE TO BE during the summer.
Childhood summer memories aside, on a day that was as hot as this Saturday was, nothing will do except for minimal clothing, i.e. shorts and a sleeveless shirt. I decided to pull out one of my favorite mint flowy tops and pair it with a pair of denim shorts (my own and very first DIY project) . I then decided to add that essential bit of “glam” and polish my look with my favorite pair of metallic silver mary jane wedges from ASOS ( these babies have been getting a great run on the blog lately – seen here , here and here) and a little bit of wrist candy.
