FNO Tulsa was amazing last night and I had a fabulous time! I had the pleasure of participating in the event last night and was front and center.

Utica Square and Center 1 in Brookside were bustling with fashionistas last night; everyone was “dressed to the nines”! The “national fashion holiday”, as I like to call it ( hey, it really should be a holiday!), came to T-town and we all “glammed it up”. Brookside boutiques like Littleblackdress in the Center 1 shopping block started the fashion fun with designer trunk shows, model shows, fabulous drinks and more. FNO patrons also had a chance to venture over to galleries and showrooms edit. and SR Hughes to see fashion inspired art and interior design.

Once Tulsa fashionistas had experienced Brookside and had a drink or two at some of the fabulous restaurants in the area, they were able to hop on the official FNO Tulsa trolley to head over to Utica Square were even more glamor and fabulousness was under way.

My first stop was to the fabulous (I know, I’m using this word a lot, but what better word describes FNO?) Miss Jackson’s for a few fashion shows! When I first walked in I was greeted by beautiful pink glowing crystal chandeliers, models walking around in some of the latest fall fashion trends and wonderful champagne and hors d’oeuvres.

I then headed up to the store’s second floor for the first fashion show of the evening. This show was the MJ Project Runway Design Challenge where design students from local colleges and FNO sponsors Clary Sage and OSU were given the challenge of making a runway worthy garment out of nothing but  Miss Jackson’s shopping bags. Let me tell you, I was blown away by the incredible talent of these students; it was amazing! Just like in Project Runway, each designer’s piece was judged by a panel of judges from the fashion industry in Tulsa.

The champagne was flowing and the party room and runway were “bursting at the seams” with some of Tulsa’s most fabulous fashionistas, prominent faces and local fashion industry heavy hitters.

My next FNO adventure (after a Starbucks run of course….LOL) was to one of my favorite stores Ann Taylor to do a little shopping and view there latest pieces for fall; from what I’ve seen in from their Fall Look Book, I was excited.

Saks Fifth Avenue was then calling my name and since they were celebrating their 25th anniversary on FNO, I of course had to make an appearance. When I first walked up to the store I felt like a fashion celeb as they had gone all out and rolled out the red carpet (no seriously, they really did)!

After I finished pretending to be a celebrity (lame I know, haha), I entered into fashion heaven.…..need I say anymore? I think the pictures will tell the whole story.

The night then ended with another beautiful fashion show back over at Miss Jackson’s featuring the some pieces from the Fall 2011 collection of a Project Runway Season 6 designer Shirin Askari.

A few of my favorite looks for the show…..

All in All, it was an incredible night and an amazing first year for FNO Tulsa! I am so happy that this phenomenal event finally came to our city and I look forward to many, many more years to come! FNO Tulsa was a true Glam Slam!

Check out my Facebook page as I uploaded tons more photos from the event in FNO Tulsa 2011 album!!!!

UNTIL NEXT TIME!!!
